Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Hidden Character Detector handles text, local usage limits, technical requests, and support messages.

Text processed by the detector

The first version performs hidden-character detection and cleaning in your browser. Text that you paste into the detector is not submitted to our application server for analysis and is not stored in an account database. The clean result remains in the page until you close or refresh it.

Local usage counter

To display the free limit, the browser may store a small local record containing the current UTC date and the number of successful checks used that day. This record does not contain the text you pasted. You can clear it through your browser storage settings, which may reset the local product counter.

Technical request data

Our hosting provider may process ordinary technical request data needed to deliver the website, such as an IP address, browser information, request time, requested URL, and security or error records. These records are handled by the hosting and infrastructure providers under their applicable terms and are not used by the detector to read the text in your browser textarea.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

The first release does not intentionally add advertising scripts, Google AdSense code, behavioral analytics, or third-party tracking pixels to the tool. If analytics, advertising, consent tools, or personalized services are added later, this policy will be updated before those features are enabled.

Clipboard access

The Copy Clean Text button only attempts to write the clean result to your clipboard after you activate it. The site does not read your clipboard in the background.

Support messages

If you email support@hiddencharacterdetector.app, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message, browser details, or a description of a problem. Do not send passwords, payment details, or private text unless support specifically asks for a safe, minimal example.

Future Pro features

Pro access and Waffo payments are not active in this first release. If paid accounts, payment processing, server-side quotas, or account data are introduced, the relevant data flows and retention periods will be documented in an updated policy.

Your choices

You can stop using the tool, clear local browser storage, avoid submitting sensitive text, and contact us with privacy questions. Requests can be sent to the support address above. We may need enough information to understand and respond to a request, but we will not ask for your password.
